Halloween is just around the corner! What are your plans? What are you going to be? This year I was thinking of going as Minnie Mouse, but I'm keeping it simple and will be a farm girl:)

I am in love with feather earrings...they are so pretty! I got this pair from Smart Set for 10 bucks!

I saw these shoes at Winners and fell in love with them...the price tag is a bit steep $130 but I think I might just treat myself if they are still there!

How are you all doing? Hope you are all doing good and enjoying your summer...I can't believe it is almost half over!! Let's catch up:)

What I'm reading....
I am a big fan of Bethanny...I watched a little bit of Real housewifes of New York, but I really fell in love with her while watching her own reality shows and take on eating healthy.

I just started the book and I love it already...I will write about it more when I'm done the book. I'm saving it for my reading during my Vancouver trip. I'm planning to go to Vancouver for the last two weeks of August, we'll be driving down so I'll have plenty of time to read:)

Bright colours!

Seeing Selena Gomez's new video reminded me of why I love bright lips! I think she looks gorgeous...and what an easy look to acheive! All you need is a simple eye and pop on a bright lip...and you are ready to go on a lunch date or to a wedding.

Summer vacation will be starting soon...one more day! I am going to make a bucket list of all the things I want to get done this summer...I will need a couple of days just to relax! I am physically, mentally, and emotionally worn down...I can't wait for one day to just sleep in and not have difficulty sleeping because of the mental checklists I'm making in my mind!

I thought I would do a quick blog post and I will do a lot more this summer:)

Some things that I have been loving!

1. Smart Set Wrap bracelet- on sale for $1.99!
I love this bracelet, I purchased two...one gold and one silver. I really love stacking it with my watch on wearing it on it's own, I gravitated towards these bracelets because they reminded me of Chan Luu wrap bracelets but without the price tag:)

2. Rimmel London- Glam Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara

Usually I find myself using two different mascaras to create the look I like- but I am loving this mascara, it has two mascara wands...one for length and one for volume. Definitely will be repurchasing it:)

3. Dynamite blouse - $29.99
I love this top, the straps can come off and it becomes a tube top. I've been able to wear this out and to work with a cardigan on top of it...I wasn't sure about the top in the beginning but I'm loving anything coral for the summer:) (Please excuse my dirty dresser mirror with mascara all over it! lol)

Here are some items that I have purchased recently and am L-O-V-I-N-G!

When I repurchased my NARS foundation I was able to pick up a Sephora Beauty Insiders sample, so I selected the BOSCIA package and I really love all the products. Especially the makeup-breakup cleanser...I think it's going to be a line that I will look into some more.

Here are some pieces of clothing I picked up have been enjoying:

* Top from Dynamite...love the floral print:)

* Dress from H&M...love the print, I'll take an outfit of the day pic when I actually wear it and style it...I think I found my birthday dress:)

* Casual t-shirt from desiwear.com...you'll get what it says if your 5abi:) It's so comfy and I think I'm going to exercise in it...it'll be motivation to get my butt moving!

First day of spring..

Woot woot!

I organized my closet and took out shoes that I can start wearing once the weather gets warmer:)
* Pink aldo heels, Payless nude kitten heels, Costa Blanca fabric flats, Soft Moc leather studded flats

And I'm back to having black hair...I dyed it myself and it was a mess but I'm happy with the results. I loved having brown hair, but I get bored easily and like to change things up, so I'm pretty sure in a month or two I'll start dreaming of a new colour:)

I am not an eloquent writer so I will keep this short...my heart and prayers goes out to everyone affected by the recent horrible events in Japan.

I know so many times we want to help, but are not sure the best way to go about it. There are many amazing groups out there, and I heard about this particular effort on the radio and thought it was a great idea. All you have to do is text ASIA to 30333, and you can help support Canadian Red cross relief efforts.

From their website:
We also have a text-to-donate option for Canadians. All you need to do is text the word ASIA or ASIE to 30333 to donate $5 to Red Cross relief efforts for Japan. The $5 donation is added to your bill (you still have to pay the standard messaging rates on your plan).

I'm not saying this is the only way to help, whatever you do...I think it's important to do something...and remember that every little bit helps!

Favourites...right now:)

1. NARS Sheet glow floundation in Barcelona and Primer- I have tried many foundations and had used powder only for the longest time...After seeing my face in pictures using this foundation I was hooked, usually my face looks a little dull and dry...but with this foundation it looks natural and gives my skin a glow:)

2. VASANTI lipgloss- I am in love with them...I love how quickly they glide onto my lips and give me a nice colour without being streaky or sticky!

3. Bobbi Brown eye palette- I am loving using the Thunder Storm Long-wear gel eyeliner...using my mac 266 brush it takes seconds to line my eye and it lasts all day.

4. MAC eye shadows- These are my staple colours...they are my go to colours:) Here is how I use them:
- Naked lunch: Highlight colour (inner corner, below eyebrows)
- All that glitters: all over lid colour
- Woodwinked: all over lid colour, crease colour (such a pretty colour!)
- Carbon: since I have small eyes I don't really do smokey eyes on my own without a professional's help..but I do like to use this to set my eyeliner so it doesn't go anywhere!

New Boots!

I had purchased boots from Aldo, they were over the knee and suede...when they arrived I wasn't feeling them. They were cute, but they were a bit too sexy for school and also made me look a little shorter since they were flat!

So, my search for flat casual boots continued...and this week I finally found a pair that I am in LOVE with!

They are flat, with a little bit of a wedge heel...and they have cute detailing at the back with zippers! They look perfect over skinny pants/jeans, leggings, and with dresses and tights...I will try to do an outfit of the day with them...but for now here are the pics!

Oh yeah and the best part..they were on sale from $260 to $70 :) woot woot!

Loving right now...

1. Vasanti Lipshine in Coral Sea
Love love love this lipshine! It has to be the easiest to apply lipgloss I have ever tried, and it is so smooth...it doesn't have that annoying sticky feeling that some glosses have. Dynamite 50% finds

After hearing about the 50% off coupon over at Canadian Daily Deals...I couldn't resist printing up the coupon and just strolling in to see if I liked anything....and of course I left with two items!

I love this top/dress? I'm planning on wearing it with my black skinny work pants and heels when the weather gets warmer...I picked it up because I need more work clothes for the spring/summer season.

I got this because it's super comfy and I love the detailing by the shoulder- it continues on the back as well:)

Has anyone been watching American Idol...the auditions are the best part for me, and I have been tuning in also to see Jennifer Lopez. She looks AHHHMAZING...check out some of these pics...who is her makeup artist - she is glowing!

OOFD and baby clothes!

One of my coworkers recently told me about Baby Zara...and I was like huh? Zara has baby clothes...I had no clue, but apparently they do...and the items are ADORABLE!

The prices are a bit steep, but they seem to have sales often...here are some things that just made me melt when I saw them on their website!

Check these little celebrity babies...so cute!! Love Ellen Pompeo's daughters style the best:)

And now on to my OOTD....

- Costa Blanca sequin t-shirt - I believe it was $7...and the length is perfect to wear with skinny jeans or even leggings.
- Jacob black cardigan - $20, purchased during Jacob's 50% sale
- Aldo earrings - $18...love these, I can instantly dress up any outfit with just putting these little pieces of bling bling on my ears:)

- Mango sweator - $35 on sale (Sherway Gardens Mango location was having 50% off a lot of the items!) I love this sweator because it has a casual yet dressed up feel, I wear it on casual fridays:)

You can see my new iphone case in this picture...I know it is super ghetto, it looked so much better online, but it is helping protect my iphone which is the most important thing because I definitely put my phone through a lot of abuse!

(sorry for the dirty mirror and crappy photos! I need to buy a new camera asap!)

Comfy outfits

Here is one of my favourite go to comfy outfits...a long tank top with a casual sweatshirt or shirt, skinny jeans, and my minnetonka boots.

I like this look, because I'm super comfy but I don't look like a bum! I really have used my boots a lot, I wear them to school as well:)

This outfit is great to go shopping in as well...which I won't be doing any time soon...instead I'll be sitting here at my dining room table marking exams! :( It's fun to see how well the students did, but after 10 papers...you start to get tired! Thank God for music...pumping Usher and drinking lots of coffee!

Mish Mash

I have not had a chance to update my blog for a long time!! Things at the end of the school semester are always crazy! Today I felt like I missed blogging, so here I am:)

One of my favourite things to do whenever I am feeling stressed is to cook...it just helps me calm down and I am loving this site: Tasty Kitchen. I adore how each step is outlined in detail and pictures are included, often when I'm following a recipe I will think "uh is this how it's supposed to look"...and with this site, you can clearly see how it should look at each step! 2010 was quite a year for me...with extreme highs, and with one extreme low that I don't think I would ever be prepared for...but it was another year of growth, I learned so much about myself and the most comforting thing that made it easy to laugh and cry was the great people I have in my life. Whether I talk to everyone daily or once in a while, I am so blessed that I have people in my life that can always put a big bright smile on my face!

I hope all of you my readers live life to the fullest, laugh until your jaws hurt, and have all the love that you deserve and more in your lives...Here's to wishing 2011 is a great year!

Boxing day!

I thought I would wake up early and hit the mall...but it's 10:30 and I'm drinking tea in my PJs! I just couldn't get up...but I think a lot of these stores like last year will be having Boxing Week specials so I will hit the mall during the week.

I decided to go online...and I purchased these cute flats that look super comfy! All together with tax I paid $23:) Regular price was $69.99! I can never have too many flats...they are pretty much my uniform in warmer weather:)

And this week I'll hit up Artizia because I was about to get a great deal on this beautiful jacket...but they ran out of my size:(

I am a big fan of lace...love love love it! I like both these items, the lace bustier t-shirt ($22.90) paired with a pencil skirt helps you achieve an easy dressed up look!

I love this Sateen Colour Block Zip Dress, it is priced at $39.90...the colour is gorgeous!

What I'm loving in both of these looks- the tights! I need to purchase some printed tights and some funky leg warmers:)

I love seeing what celebrities are wearing...their outfits can often be recreated from items in your own closet or cheaper alternatives!

Here are some looks I'm loving...

I love Selena's hair length...this is the length I'm going for, but I had to go in for a trim because it was just getting scraggly at the bottom...not pretty! Maybe I should forget growing it and get extensions:)
I love how she's kept the look pretty simple, but jazzed it up with a dark lip and lovely shoes:)

I have this $15 dress that I purchased from Costa's 50% sale (umm I will be featuring a lot of Costa's items since I kind of went crazy at the sale...I guess I felt like abusing my credit card!)

It's not what I would pick for the winter time...but with tights, a long cardigan, and boots I was good to go for a casual dinner outing:)

I'm sorry for not updating my blog regularly for the past little while!

I purchased a few cool items that I'm loving and will be blogging about soon...but I thought I would share a casual OOTD with you and my boots!

I purchased this at the Costa 50% sale- for $7 I believe...I love it! I love anything with bows:)

I wore the blouse with my black cardigan, skinny jeans, and my Black aldo boots- love them, I can wear them with a casual outfit or with a more dressier outfit. I kept going back and forth last year on whether or not I should purchase them, and I finally did during the end of season Aldo sale last year:)

I can't believe November is almost over and it's almost Christmas!! I know people aren't big fans of the cold weather, but I love the holiday season, it's my favourite time! Hope everything is going good with all of you:) Have a great weekend!

Ummmm where can I buy a similar dress? I love Lauren Conrad's look...it's so effortlessly chic! And her makeup...always flawless!

Did anyone hear about her new reality show? It's supposed to focus on her career...should be interesting!

I also love SJP's look...love love love the dress, accessories, and tights...I need to get a pair of textured tights!

This weekend I wasn't feeling the greatest...most of Saturday was spent in bed..thankfully I am much better, no more sore throat! To get out of my funk, I did some online shopping:)

Since there will be lots of people taking your pics...I thought I would share these awesome tips I read in Dr. Jessica Wu's newsletter today:

* The number one celebrity photo trick: Put one hand on your hip. (Check out how many celebs pose this way in Us Weekly.) This will remind you to keep your shoulders back and not slouch. It’ll also help define your waist if you’re wearing a loose blouse or dress.

* If you’re being photographed while standing, face the camera and turn your body at an angle. Stand with one leg slightly in front of the other, feet pointed slightly outward. You’ll look taller and thinner. Don’t stand with your legs apart or you’ll look like you’re an outfielder. Practice in front of a full-length mirror so you’ll feel comfortable when it’s picture time.

Girl Effect

Working with young students, you often hear a lot of talk about Jersey shore and silly gossip...every once in a while you are taken aback by student's own intiatives to make this world a better place. I'm part of a school organization, that helps empower young women to make changes in their community.

Currently, they are deciding which direction to take the organization in and one of the ideas brought forward was to be involved with Girl Effect.

This video won't take more than 5 minutes to view...and it is something that I think everyone should see, this world can change and we can make the changes...it is so powerful to see how important education is...especially for females!

While at Dynamite on a recent shopping trip...here are some pieces I tried on:

I love the pieces- I've worn the blue blouse so many times on casual outings and I can still wear it now with a cardigan. I've received so many compliments on the blazer, it's cute for work and drinks after:)

I'm surprised I like anything at dynamite, I went through a phase where I wouldn't even enter the store....sometimes their pieces are not the best quality, but they do have some nice pieces that are trendy and can add a different mix to your current wardrobe.

I've seen a lot of celebrities and bloggers with these bracelets...and after doing a search I found this great retailer Brazilets that sells them at a great price and offers a wide range of colours.

These bracelets are known as authentic brazilet wish bracelets, they are super cute and have a powerful meaning behind them.

Last December, I chopped off my hair...I had never in my whole life gone that short. It had finally grown back and I got it cut again...it feels like a never ending cycle. I finally grow out my hair, and than it becomes hard to manage and starts to lack shape....so I go to the hairdresser to get it cut again, and after a day or two I start to wish for my long hair again.

That got me thinking about hair extensions! I have seen a lot of different ones out and about, but I don't like Jessica Simpson's line and a lot of the ones I've seen from other brands are kind of blah to me!

One of the fashion blogs that I love is La Mimi. I had noticed that there had not been any recent posts - her latest post explained that she had been busy getting married and creating her own hair extension line with her sister! Seeing the beautiful pics got me interested...the extensions look amazingly real and upon further investigation don't seem that expensive.

I'm contemplating getting the Luxirous 120 gram piece in off black. They have a back to school special for $100. I personally think they are a bit too long, I would probably trim them so they would look even more real in my hair.

The thing I love the most is their youtube channel...they use their pieces and in some videos they don't have any extensions on. I wanted to share this youtube channel with you, because they have some really good styles...and you don't need extensions to recreate styles!

I saw Lollipop26 on youtube wearing a similar necklace and I thought it looked really pretty...the only thing was I felt it was religious, and didn't feel comfortable wearing it.

4 Eyes are the best;)

I love glasses! Every single person at work in my department who wore glasses underwent corrective eye surgery...I personally don't see myself going that route, I love my eyes too much for even 0.0000001% possibility that something might go wrong.

More importantly, glasses help make me look more mature and when you get mistaken for your students a girl needs all the help she can get.

Currently I have a Dior pair, and I love how the sides are thick but the actual frame isn't...so it doesn't overwhelm my face. I think the next ones I want to get are Chanel...I love their designs, but I haven't been able to find any that I am in love with! I need to do more of a search but here are some celebrities with glasses for style inspiration. If you know of any good places to purchase glasses or tips- please let me know! My favourite place that offered huge discounts has of course gone out of business!

I like this style of chanels- but I would want them to be black, and maybe a little bit bigger...I feel they cover just my eyes...they are so small!

Urban decay's Limited "Summer of Love" palette- how pretty are these colours, and really you can't go wrong with any of these colours!

The combos are endless - they are available at sephora and will cost you about $35 CDN! I know the Naked palette is getting a lot of buzz, but I can not find any at my local Sephora...they are sold out! Fried bananas

I had fried bananas at lemongrass (@sq1) for the first time – so yummy!!!:) Don't worry, fried bananas have nothing to do with my post!

Lately, something that I have been doing with my hair is after washing my hair and letting it dry...I will add a couple of curls with my curling iron

What I use:
* Conair 1 ¾ inch barrel curling iron
* Tresemme heat protector
* L’oreal Elnett hairspray

Yesterday, I had some time before meeting up with my cousin for lunch...and I went into Smart Set. All of the clearance items were further reduced by 50%!

This dress was orginally $45, it was marked at $24...I purchased it for $12!

It is sooo comfy! Loves it!

Some days I am in the mood to shop...and a good shopping trip for me is finding good deals! Yesterday I headed out to Heartland Town Centre in Mississauga and found some great stuff...but I got the best deals at Jacob.

With September coming closer I am in need of some new work attire...I got two work pants for $15 and $5!!! How crazy is that?
These were further discounted to $15 when I went to pay for them. I would've taken pics of them, but they are black and aren't photographing well...I will have to do outfit of the day posts with them:) I love Jacob pants- they are so comfy, stylish and last a long time:)

I also got this dress for $17.50 (It was on sale for $25, with a further 30% off sale items at Dynamite). I love it- it has my favourite colours and I can dress it up and down. They only had 1 left in size small, it is a bit loose from the stomach and back, but it's not too distracting. The thing that made me fall in love with the dress is the fact that it has pockets...a dress that has pockets is an instant score for me!

I had all these bracelets in a box - located inside my closet. Did I ever end up wearing any of my bracelets? Ummm no, simply because if something is out of sight, my scatter brain won't remember it!

So, on my recent trip to Winners I was looking for a jewelry holder to store all my bracelets. And I found something even better...this figurine was on clearance for $3.00!!! At first, I thought it was kind of ugly looking than I figured I could always spray paint it later on.

Once, I got home I placed my bracelets on the figurine and I don't think I even need to spray paint it anymore...it holds all my bracelets and in the morning when I get ready I just take a quick glance and can accessorize easily:) No more bracelets sitting in a drawer - not being used!

I am loving my new iphone...it's not the latest 4G but the 3GS. It was a mission to find a brand new 3Gs with my rogers provider...but I'm so glad I finally have it!

Now, I never had a blackberry so I can't join the debate on whether a blackberry or iphone is better...i'm just glad I have something that is functional and fun for both my personal and work life!

Now that I have it, I need something to protect it! My friend told me about ultra-case - they sell different accessories/covers online (even if you are a blackberry lover they have stuff for you as well- I think they have more selection for apple products though. This week was the last epsiode of the hills...ever! :( I'm bummed because no matter how far fetched and unbelievable it became, it was a great guilty pleasure!

I loved seeing what was happening in their lives...and enjoyed their fashion off and on the screen.

I'm glad that Lauren was able to make a career and we'll still be seeing her, has anyone read her books? I want to grab them the next time I head to chapters!

The weather in Toronto has been CRAZY and the fact that our air conditioning was not working until yesterday, only made things more difficult!

And if you were to see my hair these past two days - you would be scared! lol it was so hot that I couldn't even be bothered to put product in my hair...and sometimes that is the case- when it gets hot and humid you don't want to always straighten it because after 30 minutes outside it's a frizzy hot mess. So, I've been looking for other hairstyles that I can do in my natural curly state...and I love this one.

I've always loved the bump, but had a hard time making a ponytail...the bump would always dissapear...after watching this video...I realized it's so easy! So, if your running out of time in the morning and don't want to bother with styling it...try this out:)

Sorry for being MIA...but with the school year coming to a close there are 5 million things to be done and it's getting crazy!

Also, my cousin will be getting married in two weeks (still need to get my jewlery, bindi, and makeup appt made for her reception...crap better get on that stuff!) and my nephew's birthday is coming up (for which I still need to buy a special gift!) and finally my good friend's baby shower is coming up (for which me and my other friends have a big list of things to do- starting with making the invites that need to be mailed out tmrw! CRAP!) lol So as you can see I am going to be a busy bee- but I am sooooooooo E-X-C-I-T-E-D and can not wait for all of these events to hurry up and come:)))

So, I am taking a two week break and I promise some really cool stuff when I come back...I have purchased some AMAZING products that I want to talk about...and some great deals:)

Loving right now...

I have naturally curly hair- and with curly hair comes frizz! In order to keep my hair whether I style it curly or straight looking frizz free – I was on a search for a product that could give my hair some shine and eliminate dry ends!

I have heard so much about Moroccan Oil- people swear by it and I saw it at my local Shoppers Drug Mart. Also, on the same aisle was a bottle of Argan Oil...so I took both to the counter and asked the cashier to do a price check on both products. I decided to spend my money on the Argan Oil, because I already had a full cart of products and thought why not try out the inexpensive product first and see how that works.

When I first tried it out, I absolutely hated it! It was gooey, and sticky...and it left a gross residue in my hair. So, I put it away in my cabinet and didn’t even think about it again. But with all my beauty products – I like to go back and give them another try...I hate wasting stuff! :)

So I decided that I must be using the oil incorrectly – I used it on my dry hair and thought I could use it as a pre-heat styling tool. But that made my hair greasy and after reading the directions...lol...yes I should have done that before...I realized that I needed to use it on wet hair!

So, after washing my hair I put a quarter size while it was still damp. If I was going to curl it, I put a little bit more before using the diffuser...and a little afterwards to calm any frizziness. If I was going to straighten it, I only put a little bit (about the size of a quarter) all throughout my damp hair and combed it out. The results....soft, shiny, frizz-free hair!

The thing that I like about this product is, it makes my hair more put together...if it is styled straight, there are no flyaways...if it styled curly, there is bounce to my hair. And it lasts throughout the entire day. If I don’t want to style my hair the next day, I just put a little bit of this through my hair and I’m good to go.

I absolutely love this product, and even though I am liking the results. Once it is finished, I will be trying the morrocan oil to see how it works on my hair- I will let you know how that goes.

Where can you buy it?

I’m not sure if they sell this particular brand in the States- but I’m sure the other brands that make argan oil will have the same effect if you have dry frizzy hair like me.

In Ontario, you can purchase it at:

- Walmart

It was about $12 Cdn for a 110 mL bottle.

I'm loving...

...my ISINIS IS14 - Jumbo Round hair brush!
I purchased this at Fiorre hair salon in Square one...it was for $24.95 and I was convinced by my friend to purchase it. I was a bit hesitant at first because I was of the mindset that all brushes were the same...but let me tell you after using this brush I am in LOVE with it!

It took me 10 minutes to blow dry my hair and usually my head hurts because I've pulled and tugged at my hair and lost some hair in the process as well...this time it was so easy. And trust me, if I can do it...anyone can...because I suck at using a blowdryer!

I did go over my hair with a ceramic iron, because I like the look I get with it...and I find it helps seal my hair and I can have straight hair for a couple of days. I also think it's important to use heat protectant products in your hair before you use any hot tools to style your hair, I also like using Biosilk Silk Therapy when my hair is still damp. I like Biosilk way more than CHI Silk infusion, I guess it depends on people's hair type...but I find biosilk does a better job of keeping my hair soft and shiny.

I tried to look for the same brush I purchased online and I had a difficult time- but I'm sure most hair salons carry it...I got the jumbo size because I find it's easier to do bigger chunks of hair at one time. Just wanted to let you know that if you see a brush at your hair salon, check it out because it might make a difference in how you style your hair and help save you time!

I wrote this up a couple of weeks ago...and now after using the brush continously...I have found that I wasn't able to imitate the same results I got the first time I used it:( However, I think this is mostly due to my laziness...the first time I used it I took 10 full minutes...but I'm still loving the results- I can not go back to the days where I would just use my straightener!

I just wanted to thank Lena for the great contest where I won the Sleepy Moon necklace...in one word it's gorgeous! I love wearing it, it goes with everything!

The thing that I love the most about it- is how no one else around me has something like it...which is great because sometimes you don't want to wear the same things that everyone else is wearing.

It's a delicate piece- which I love because it makes the piece look beautiful...it helps me dress up an outfit, but you can also rock it with a t-shirt and jeans:) I will be visiting her etsy store soon to see what new stuff she has come up with.

For the past two days I have been rocking this makeup look and I am loving it....it's a perfect fresh minimilast spring face!

*NYX Jumbo eyeshadow pencil in Gold (* applied to my entire lower waterline)

*MAC Engraved Powerpoint pencil (* applied to my outer corner, lower waterline area)
*Rimmel Lycra Lash Extender Mascara in Black (* apply 3/4 coats to get the full effect)

The best part- I didn't purchase anything new...this is all stuff that I found in my stash.

Checking out other people's blogs and youtube videos is amazing for neat tricks and tutorials but at the same time you somehow manage to end up with a never ending list of things to buy...And I don't know about you but I am a big fan of working with what you have...so instead of going out and buying items, check out what you have and work with similar colors...experiment...and you can end up with a look that you love:)

The one exception I will make is that if you don't already have MAC's All that glitters...it is a colour you definitely need! It is so pretty on it's own and paired up with other colours...very neutral with a nice shine that will make your tired eyes look more awake and make you look put together!

Painting your nails...

I love painting my nails but am a little sloppy at it...but thanks to these two products I'm finding that my nail polish lasts a lot longer and it has that "newly shiny painted" look:)

Here are the steps I take:

1. Paint two coats of "Sally Hansen Triple Strong Advanced Gel Nail Fortifier"
- I like using this alone as well, since it works really well to keep my nails strong, I find my nail polishes also glide on more smoothly on top of this. I have tried some Revlon base coats and didn't find they did anything, if I find anything that works better will let you know:)

2. Paint two coats of my nail polish of choice (I'm realling feeling OPI Do you lilac it right now:)

3. After waiting 5 minutes, I use "Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti- Chip top coat" and my nails are dry and good to go in a minute!

- I like this top coat, but I want to try the Seche Vite top coat...I have heard amazing things about it.

It might seem like a long process- but all of this takes no more than 6-10 minutes and I don't have to wait for my nail polish to dry or worry about it getting messed up! The best thing is my colour lasts all week, and I do a lot of dish washing and cleaning up lab equipment at work as well:)

* Eye makeup remover- Lancome bifcil...love this stuff!! It was a bit pricy, but so worth the price plus I think it will easily last me the whole year if not longer! I tend to use a lot of mascara and eyeliner and with this product it comes off so easily and the fact that I no longer have get raccoon eyes is a bonus:)

* Catching up on every episode of the Modern Family- I am in LOVE with this show...it's like the office but instead of coworkers it shows families...freakin hillarious!

* CHI Silk Infusion- LOVE this stuff...leaves my hair super soft:) I like to put a dime size amount in the palm of my hands and work it into my hair- right after I have washed it.

* Pearl earrings- can not get enough of them...I'm wearing them all the time! Small, large- they make any outfit 10X better!

* Purchased my own Minnetonka boots! Glad I waited out on purchasing my ugg alternatives- got them at a super good deal and I'm hoping I'll like them just as much once I receive them!

Ohhh it's in the air, can you feel it? The holiday parties, get togethers are coming near...office parties have started, it's all about having fun/glamming it up/dressing up/relaxing/partying/spending time with your loved ones! WOOT WOOT- this has to be my favourite time of the year!

I hope you are all enjoying it and not getting stressed with holiday shopping!

I had to post this pic- I am really loving Kim's style lately...she is putting together simple yet stylish outfits together!

Remember don't stress- enjoy this time and what it's really about...loving those around you!

And while you are out and about doing your last minute gift purchasing, please do not forget to help others...food banks could use help, shelters, and toys for tots and other programs that help children in hospitals this Christmas and those less fortunate are all excellent things to contribute to...Not everyone can do everything, but if everyone does something we all benefit! (Sorry didn't mean to preach, just wanted to remind you- because with all the stress this time of year brings, it is easy to overlook even when we have the right intentions!)

I get emails time to time from River Island- which is a british store, and I don't think they ship to Canada...but I love their stuff!

When I saw this- it just spelled winter perfection:) Dark leggings, dark nail polish, sexy boots, and studded clutch!

Now that my hair is significantly shorter I'm looking for new hair inspiration...and came across these pics of selena gomez! I like the straight and curly look- and am looking forward to trying out new hairstyles.

It's fun to let your hairdresser change up your look- because at the end of the day it's just hair...it does grow back:) (that is what I'm repeating to myself- b/c I'm kinda missing my black long hair...and it's only been 3 days! eek!)
